Asia Pacific Business Consortium (Pvt) Ltd (BISCON) is conducting an executive search on behalf of a leading global insurance organization with operations in Sri Lanka. We are seeking a highly accomplished technology leader (Head of Information Technology) to drive the organization’s digital strategy, technology transformation, and enterprise IT operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the organization’s IT strategy in alignment with business objectives.
• Lead enterprise-wide digital transformation and innovation initiatives.
• Oversee IT infrastructure, cloud services, networks, enterprise applications, and operational technology.
• Strengthen cybersecurity, governance, risk management, disaster recovery, and business continuity frameworks.
• Lead and develop high-performing IT teams while fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
• Manage technology vendors, strategic partnerships, and IT budgets to ensure maximum business value.
• Drive the successful delivery of large-scale technology projects within scope, budget, and timelines.
• Ensure compliance with corporate governance, regulatory, and information security standards.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• A Master’s Degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Business Administration (MBA), or a related field will be a distinct advantage.
• Minimum 10–15 years of progressive experience in Information Technology.
• Minimum 5 years in a senior IT leadership or management role.
• Demonstrated expertise in IT strategy, digital transformation, enterprise infrastructure, cybersecurity, enterprise applications, and vendor management.
• Proven experience leading enterprise-scale technology projects and multidisciplinary teams.
• Prior experience within the insurance, financial services, banking, or another highly regulated industry will be a distinct advantage.
• Strong leadership, business acumen, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
