Junior Executive – Data Analyst
Internal Audit Department
We are looking for a Junior Executive – Data Analyst to join our Internal Audit Team and contribute to strengthening audit effectiveness through data analytics, exception reporting, continuous auditing, and dashboard development.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the IT Department to extract and obtain relevant data from various systems and databases to support Internal Audit activities.
- Design, develop, and maintain exception reports, analytical models, and interactive dashboards using Tableau or similar data visualization tools.
- Perform data validation and testing of reports, dashboards, and analytical outputs to ensure accuracy, completeness, consistency, and reliability.
- Analyze large volumes of data to identify unusual trends, anomalies, exceptions, control weaknesses, and potential risk areas.
- Support the development and enhancement of continuous auditing and data analytics initiatives within the Internal Audit function.
- Assist in identifying opportunities to improve audit efficiency through data-driven analysis and automated reporting.
- Maintain appropriate documentation relating to data sources, analytical procedures, reports, dashboards, and testing performed.
- Continuously explore and apply new Tableau features, data analytics techniques, and emerging technologies to enhance the organization’s audit analytics capabilities.
- Work closely with Internal Audit, IT, and other relevant departments to support data-driven audit assignments.
Qualifications & Experience
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering/Development, Data Science, Management, or a relevant discipline from a recognized university.
- Minimum 3–4 years of relevant experience in Data Analysis, Business Intelligence, Data Visualization, or a related field.
- Sound knowledge of Data Analysis, Data Visualization, and Reporting using Tableau or similar data analytics tools.
- Strong working knowledge of SQL and Advanced Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of data extraction, data validation, data modelling, and dashboard development will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of Internal Audit processes, internal controls, risk management, and audit methodologies will be an added advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret large volumes of data.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders and communicate analytical findings effectively.
- Good communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and maintain a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
