We are looking for a Buyer – FMCG on behalf of a highly reputed company in Sri Lanka. The ideal candidate will have 2- 3 years’ experience in purchasing, supplier management, and procurement operations within the FMCG or retail industry.
Key Responsibilities
Source and purchase FMCG products in line with business requirements.
Identify and maintain relationships with suppliers.
Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
Monitor stock availability and coordinate replenishment.
Process purchase orders and ensure timely deliveries.
Evaluate supplier performance and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Requirements
Experience in purchasing, procurement, or buying within the FMCG or retail sector.
Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
Good analytical and communication skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and purchasing documentation.
