Job description
Ensuring effective financial control across the business, to ensure it is compliant with relevant law, regulation and accounting standards.
Providing a guidance mechanism to ensure the expenditure and investments yield optimal benefits for the organization. i.e. To be the voice of reasoning and critiquing spending/investments of the entire organization.
Leading a team responsible for developing, promoting and managing an effective financial operational, credit, Investments and, accounting, framework, dealing with actual or potential control issues effectively.
Ensuring that financial activities are conducted in accordance with appropriate professional standards and principles of governance.
Ensure the planning cycle and planning processes are of the highest standards and engage key stakeholders to ensure a plan that is balanced and will drive the organization to greater excellence to drive, monitor execution of the planning initiatives.
Provide leadership and guidance to the Finance & Planning function.
Monitor & ensure the functions and its management meets their financial, operational and service KPI’s and goals.
Required qualification
Professional accounting qualification such as CA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or an equivalent recognized qualification.
Postgraduate qualification / MBA in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field would be an advantage.
Experience as the Chief Financial Officer or a Senior Manager in a large organization.
