Develop and implement merchandising strategies to meet sales and profit targets
Analyse market trends and consumer behaviour to anticipate product needs and preferences Identify and select products that align with the company’s brand and market positioning
Ensure a balanced and attractive product range that meets customer demands and seasonal trends Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate favourable terms
Source new suppliers and products to diversify the product range
Analyse sales data to evaluate product performance and identify opportunities for improvement Prepare regular reports on sales performance , stock levels, and merchandising activities
Work closely with the buying , marketing , and sales teams to align merchandising strategies with overall business objectives
Coordinate with the visual merchandising team to ensure products are displayed effectively in stores Monitor expenditures and ensure cost-effective purchasing decisions
Use research findings to make data-driven decisions and adjust merchandising strategies as needed Mentor and support junior merchandisers and other team members
Requirements
Bachelor ‘s degree in Merchandising , Business Administration , Marketing, or a related field
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in merchandising or a related role, preferably in the fashion industry Strong analytical skills and proficiency in using merchandising software and tools
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Creative and strategic thinking abilities
Leadership experience and the ability to manage and motivate a team
