Senior Merchandiser
Job Profile
- Develop and implement merchandising strategies to meet sales and profit targets
- Analyse market trends and consumer behaviour to anticipate product needs and preferences Identify and select products that align with the company’s brand and market positioning
- Ensure a balanced and attractive product range that meets customer demands and seasonal trends Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate favourable terms
- Source new suppliers and products to diversify the product range
- Analyse sales data to evaluate product performance and identify opportunities for improvement Prepare regular reports on sales performance , stock levels, and merchandising activities
- Work closely with the buying , marketing , and sales teams to align merchandising strategies with overall business objectives
- Coordinate with the visual merchandising team to ensure products are displayed effectively in stores Monitor expenditures and ensure cost-effective purchasing decisions
- Use research findings to make data-driven decisions and adjust merchandising strategies as needed Mentor and support junior merchandisers and other team members
Requirements
- Bachelor ‘s degree in Merchandising , Business Administration , Marketing, or a related field
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in merchandising or a related role, preferably in the fashion industry Strong analytical skills and proficiency in using merchandising software and tools
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Creative and strategic thinking abilities
- Leadership experience and the ability to manage and motivate a team
